We are living on a global connected world.
On that world, we are the witness about how the technology is going faster and faster. Nowadays, we can choose a lot of apps to download and purchase to install in our laptops, smartphones and tablets.
A few years ago, we saw how important was to being a webpage for our personal branding or for our business or companies. But nowadays it seems that everybody need to have an app.
Last week a small business company order me to check the general and specific terms for their new app. When I asked to the CEO why they decided to get an app, her answer was “because everybody have one”. So, we should asume: it’s trending!
But, until when? We will see, because almost everyday we can discover new apps to check and download, you only need to open your store.
I experienced how apps I loved are going into disuse, like Snapchat, while others were cancelled like Periscope or Brightkite. Nowadays, Google Play and Apple AppStore are the biggest app stores worldwide with 2,7 million and 1,8 million available apps respectively. So, probably, for a business it could important to have an app.
Recently, we saw how some apps and social networks are trending, like once were Facebook or Instagram. We are living a change on the social networks and we are moving to short videos and living moments, represented by TikTok, Twitch or the Directs of Instagram or Twitter Fleets.
We are looking how the users prefers changing the appearance of Instagram or Facebook to more living moments. Looking for that living moments I discovered ClubHouse a new trending app.
The signing up for Clubhouse is only available by invitation and for iPhone users, and very soon the users of android can enjoy of it. While someone of your agenda allows you to join or you receive an invitation to join, you only can book your nickname and this one it will be important.
Last days I was checking and discovering this app and I confess I love it, because this app allows to users to share knowledge and experiences on live. Everybody can create or schedule a room to talk about some topics and you can decide if this room is public (everybody is allowed to go inside) or private. But, the best of this app is that everybody can interact each other and you only need to join the room and raise your hand!
On the other hand, there are some groups inside of the app, and you can get some notifications about the nexts rooms about your topics and you can add to your cal for don’t forget.
One of the problems I see with this app is that you can listen again, that’s means if you couldn’t listen you lost, so perhaps it could be interesting to save the conversation to listen again. Of course, you can save the conversation on other platform update it on podcast or YouTube channel for your listeners.
On my opinion, it’s a new social network how can be important on the future as a complement of others, like LinkedIn. So, the younger can continue dancing on TikTok while the rest will improve our brains sharing and connecting our knowledge.
